LOUISVILLE, Ky (AP) — The Appalachian Regional Fee is awarding $9.4 million in grants to 30 initiatives in a dozen states. The grants will support packages that tackle Appalachia’s substance abuse disaster by creating or increasing packages devoted to restoration from drug habit.
The funding will assist practice and certify restoration specialists, launch recovery-to-work packages and extra. Ten initiatives in Kentucky, West Virginia, and Tennessee have obtained grants.
The fee’s companions embody universities, remedy suppliers, native governments, and neighborhood motion organizations based by people who themselves are in long-term restoration. The fee is accepting functions for a second spherical of grants and plans to award as much as $10 million to extra recovery-focused initiatives.
