81-year-old man dead after vehicle collision near Orange Cove

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) — An 81-year-old man is lifeless after colliding with a car close to Orange Cove in Fresno County Wednesday evening, in line with California Freeway Patrol.

At round 5:30 p.m. officers with the Fresno Space California Freeway Patrol responded to a name of a two-vehicle visitors collision within the space of Hill and Adams avenues.

Authorities say an 81-year-old man, was driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup on Hill Avenue, approaching the intersection of Adams Avenue when he didn’t cease at a cease signal and entered the intersection, placing the entrance aspect of a Chevrolet Silverado.

The person was recognized as Gene Butler, of Orosi.

Officers say the Chevrolet struck a dry drainage ditch and overturned whereas the Toyota got here to relaxation on its wheels within the drainage ditch.

Butler died on the scene whereas the driving force and a passenger contained in the Chevrolet have been each taken to Group Regional Medical Middle for therapy for average accidents.

Authorities say alcohol and/or medicine should not suspected to be an element on this collision. The investigation is ongoing.
